We believe your video content should be available for your audience whenever you'd like to share it with. We have the Subly share feature for you to share a public link with whoever you choose when you've finished editing your video. You don't have to share the link if it's not for public use. Yes, the unused minutes from one month will roll over into the following month.
For example:
Let’s say you are on a 100-minute monthly plan. So, you have 100 minutes in January and you spend 50 minutes by the end of the month. On February the 1st, your remaining 50 unused minutes will roll over, and your balance will increase to 150 minutes.
Your minute budget is spent based on the duration of the video/audio content you upload and the number of actions you are performing on it.
For example:
If you have a 4-minute-long video and you upload it for transcription, that will deduct 4 minutes from your time budget.
If you decide to translate that content into French, that will “cost” you another 4 minutes.
Want it in Spanish? That’s 4 more minutes out of your budget.
In total, if you transcribe a 4-minute video and translate it into 2 languages, that’s going to deduct 12 minutes from your budget: 4 for transcription and 4 more for each of the translations – 3x4 minutes is 12 minutes.

Of course, we're here to help you get your content in any language you need. You can transcribe different videos in the original language spoken to translate to over 70 languages. When you're happy with your original transcription you just select translation and choose the other languages you'd like to repurpose your content in. A free trial is available to all new customers. That way you can try all the features before you even need to buy. Remember to upgrade your account before the end of the trial period to keep using the platform and accessing all the features. You can select the plan that suits you from the Explore Plans section within your account.
Transcription accuracy depends on many factors. Our transcription is supported by Artificial intelligence (AI). Although AI technology has made huge advances in recent years, it is not optimal in every situation. The greatest factor of accuracy is the quality of the recording. If your audio has a lot of background noise the accuracy is likely to suffer. If there is little background noise, you use a professional mic for clear audio and one person speaks at a time, your transcription will be much more accurate. The storage you have on Subly depends on the plan you select, ranging from 1GB to 200+ GB. Discover our plans and features.

We use active directory services to manage our users and don't store any sensitive user details in our database due to security measures. Such services have handled user data, access level management and are designed for scalability. Companies around the world use the same services and Subly follows the same principles. All our content and user content is saved in the Cloud. Public Cloud Providers are one of the most secure services in the world and they maintain very high levels of security standards. When we develop our product we make sure to keep the high standards. We are constantly optimising and improving where needed and working with Engineers of our Cloud Providers very closely to ensure no data or content is compromised.
You will be the only person to access your videos unless you share your user account details or invite teammates. Our team will have access to user accounts and content for the sole purpose of developing new features or helping you with support issues.Our team keeps all data and content private. Video recorded on newer iPhones or iPads are usually saved in HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) format to take up less space on the device. This format of video has limited support on Subly and so may lead to some discolouration of the video. If you are wanting to burn subtitles onto your video, we recommend first exporting your HEVC to a more compatible H.264 format before uploading to Subly. Our transcription uses AI and the quality of the transcription really depends on the quality of the audio; the spoken language, pronunciation, and background noise. We are constantly improving the transcription quality and striving for 100% accuracy in the future. Because of many factors that we can't influence, the transcription may not be 100% accurate. That’s why we've built an easy-to-use platform so you can make any edits you need to, in seconds. Log into your Subly account and correct any mistakes in minutes.

Your existing plan will be cancelled and your new plan will be effective immediately. Remaining minutes from your previous plan will be rolled into the new plan. Your monthly billing date will be updated to the date you made changes to your plan. Speak to our support team if you need any help.
As we offer flexible rolling monthly subscription and annual plans, we don't offer refunds. You can also try before you buy and sign up for a 7-day trial period, so you can decide if we are the right product for you! Check our pricing and plans. If you cancel a plan, you will have access to all of the features until the end of your billing period and then you'll be moved to a Free plan and no longer invoiced.
Do you really have to go? Log in to your Subly account and go to your Settings (you can find it by clicking your profile icon top right). Select Delete user account to leave us. Be sure you really want to, once you've deleted your account there’s no getting your content back.
Do we really have to break up? Maybe just take a break and you'll soon miss us! But seriously, to cancel your paid subscription, log in to your Subly account and go to your Settings (you can get there by clicking your initial top right). Look for Subscription and select change plan. This will cancel your subscription at the end of your billing cycle which means you will not be charged again but you will still have access for the rest of your billing cycle.
